Should I take group or private lessons?
Private lessons are more intensive and meets special individual needs. On the other hand in a group you will feel the spirit of winter vacation, have fun, meet new friends and learn how to ski or snowboard at the same time.
Can I have lessons together with my child?
We don't recommend it and we have following reason for it. There is a difference in teaching children and adults. Adults understand what the center of gravity means, how to transfer the weight, what is a snow plow etc. But children don't and there is no need for that. We have many games and metaphors that help children with the learning process and we have different tools for adults.
Am I too young or too old to learn how to ski/snb?
We teach skiing children from 3/4 years old (depends on the maturity).
We teach snowboarding children from 6 years old (depends on the maturity and preferable private lessons)
And you are never too old !!!
Why do we have only 4 days / 5 days skipas in ski / snb 6 days-beginners package?
Beginners need to learn how to stop and make the basic turns before they take a lift and ski/snb on the regular ski slope. That is why we have beginners areas at the end of the ski slopes. Skiers stay there usually for 2 days snowboarders only 1 day, so then skiers need only 4 days skipass and snowboarders 5 days skipass.
How does the ski-kindergarten work?
Ski-kindergarten opens at 9:00 am, but mostly children are coming short before 10:00 am when the lessons start. Children are divided in groups regarding their age, skiing level and language. They have lessons from 10:00 to 12:00. Then you can either pick your child up and bring him/her back at 14:00 or he/she can stay with the group during lunch break (for an extra cost). The group goes to have a lunch together and then they stay in our kids-corner to play for the rest of the break. At 14:00 we start the afternoon lessons and at 16:00 is the ski-kindergarten closed.
If I rent skis/snowboard for 6 days do I have to bring them back to the rental shop every night?
No you keep the skis/snowboard for the whole period.
I don't want to carry my skis or snowboard to the hotel and back everyday...
Use our DEPOT !!!! Under the chairlift in Svaty Petr is a huge DEPOT where you can leave your skies, snowboards, boots, shoes and even a backpack !!
Can I park my car nearby your ski school?
If you are driving the car to Spindleruv Mlyn for the whole week we recommend you to keep it parked by your hotel or BB and use the free skibus or just walk.
If you need to drive, please park your car by Hromovka lift (next to the bus station) or by Medvedin lift. These parking places are free during the day, but watch out, they fill fast.
You cannot park in Svaty Petr !!!! If you can ski, you can park at Hromovka and take the Hromovka chairlift and ski to Svaty Petr. Otherwise you have to use the free skibus or walk.
